Terms of use.
Last updated 5 November 2026
1. About these terms
These terms cover your use of xPitch, a football statistics app for grassroots and academy football, and any xPitch Pro plan you buy. By opening or using xPitch you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
xPitch is made and owned by Craige Sykes, trading as xPitch, in England. In these terms "we", "us" and "our" mean Craige Sykes. "You" means the person using the app.
"The app" means xPitch in every form we provide it: the web app at thexpitch.com, the installed home-screen version, any downloaded file, and any trial or test version. It includes the code, design, layout, logo, name, stat models (including the xG and save models), formulas, text and images.
2. Who can use xPitch
You must be 18 or over to accept these terms or to buy xPitch Pro. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to them for you and supervise your use. If you use xPitch for a club, team or academy, you confirm you are allowed to do so on its behalf.
3. Your licence to use xPitch
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app to record and review stats for your own players, teams or club. The free plan covers 1 player and 3 saved matches. xPitch Pro, described in section 4, lifts those limits. You are given permission to use the app. You are not given ownership of it, or of any part of it.
4. xPitch Pro: plans, payment and renewal
- Plans. Pro Monthly is £4.99 a month. Pro Annual is £55.00 a year. Prices are in GBP and include VAT where it applies. Any early bird offer applies to the first payment of Pro Annual only, and renewals are at the full price.
- Who you pay. Our order process is run by our online reseller, Paddle.com. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders, handles payment and billing, and deals with customer service enquiries about payments and returns. Paddle's buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
- Renewal. Plans renew automatically at the end of each month or year, and the same payment method is charged, until you cancel. We will tell you in advance if the price is going to change, and you can cancel before it does.
- Cancelling. You can cancel any time from the link in your Paddle receipt email, or by emailing [email protected]. Pro carries on until the end of the period you have paid for, then the app goes back to the free plan. Nothing you have saved is deleted.
- Your licence key. After you buy, we email you a licence key. One key works on up to 3 of your own devices. Please do not share it with other people. Refunds are covered in our Refund policy.
5. What you must not do
Unless we have agreed otherwise in writing, you must not:
- Copy, download, save, extract or reproduce the app's code, design, formulas or stat models, except for the normal copy your browser or device makes to run it.
- Sell, resell, rent, license, share or give away the app, any copy of it or a licence key, or offer it as part of a paid service.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, unminify or otherwise study the code in order to rebuild, copy or compete with it, or to get around the licence check, except where the law expressly allows this and cannot be excluded.
- Change, adapt, translate or build another product from the app, its code, its stat models or its look and feel.
- Remove or hide any copyright notice, trade mark or the xPitch name or logo.
- Use the app for anything unlawful, or in a way that could harm a child, another user or us.
6. Who owns xPitch
All intellectual property rights in the app belong to Craige Sykes. This includes copyright in the code, design, text and graphics, database rights, and rights in the stat models, formulas and methods. Nothing in these terms transfers any of those rights to you. "xPitch" and the xPitch logo are trade marks of Craige Sykes.
7. Feedback and ideas
If you send us suggestions, bug reports or ideas, you agree we may use them freely to improve xPitch, without payment or credit to you. You keep ownership of your own match data.
8. Trial and test versions
If we invite you to try an early or test version, it is for you only. Please do not share the link, files or screenshots of unreleased features without our permission. Test versions may have bugs, may change without notice and may lose data, so keep your own backups. We can end a trial at any time.
9. Your data stays on your device
xPitch stores the players, matches and stats you enter on your own device. We do not receive, see or keep a copy of that data. If you clear your browser data, delete the app, or change or lose your device, your data may be deleted and we cannot recover it. Please use the app's Back up feature regularly. When you buy Pro, we keep the small amount of information needed to run your licence, as explained in our Privacy notice.
10. Children's information
If you enter information about a child, only enter what you need, such as a first name and match stats. Make sure you have the parent's or guardian's agreement, follow your club's safeguarding policies, and do not share match cards or exports that identify a child without permission.
11. Stats are a guide, not a guarantee
xPitch's stats, ratings, xG figures and benchmarks are estimates based on what you enter and on our models. They are there to help you reflect and coach. They are not professional scouting, coaching, medical or selection advice, and they may contain errors.
12. Availability and changes to the app
We will try to keep xPitch working, but we do not promise it will always be available, error-free or compatible with every device or browser. We may change or update features. If we withdraw Pro features you have paid for, we will refund the unused part of your plan.
13. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us limit. If you use xPitch as a consumer, you keep your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Subject to that, we are not responsible for loss of data stored on your device, for decisions you make using the app's stats, or for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid for xPitch in the 12 months before the claim, or £50 if you have paid nothing.
14. Ending your use
You can stop using xPitch at any time. We may suspend or end your access, including your licence key, if you break these terms, for example by sharing your key. Sections 5, 6, 7, 11 and 13 still apply after that.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will show the new date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app or by email before they affect a plan you have paid for.
16. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will deal with any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring a claim in your local courts.
